Interview: Juno

Pets, they’re your best friend and confidant. Big or small, fluffy or a bit scruffy, it doesn’t matter, we love them all. They’re there for you unconditionally and the feeling is mutual. Our interview series celebrates this special bond between animals and hoomans. Let the awws begin.

Hooman: Jeena Ko. Country bumpkin born in America raised in South Korea and now living in London. Restaurant consultant and Juno’s full-time paparazzi stalker.

Doggo: Juno ( (6.5 years old). Or, Juno Bear or Bbong Bbong Ee (Poo Poo in Korean)

Home: Rescued in South Korea, now living in London.

Juno (Siberian Husky) was found by her dad on a Facebook pet shelter page in South Korea that posted urgent adoption needed. She was due to be euthanised any day since she had way overstayed her time. She lived in a small cage in the pound for over 8 months and wasn’t getting adopted. The staff tucked her away since she was so sweet and quiet but her time was finally up. We went the next day and as soon as we saw her, we knew she was going to be our daughter. So blessed!

We named her after the Roman goddess Juno Regina, Queen of the gods. She is the protector of women, marriage, and birth. Also, Regina means queen and is her mama’s name.

She’s not the most affectionate dog from her husky-like independent characteristics, hence her Instagram handle name - @unimpressedhusky - but she LOVES food and playing with balls and toys that are not hers.

Juno is trained not to go into bedrooms, which of course means she has never slept in a bed with us. Juno says, “BUT that’s fine by me. I like sleeping in my own bed. However, sometimes I fid mom trying to sleep next to me on my bed. Welcome to my unimpressed husky life..”
