Interview: Kimchi

Pets, they’re your best friend and confidant. Big or small, fluffy or a bit scruffy, it doesn’t matter, we love them all. They’re there for you unconditionally and the feeling is mutual. Our interview series celebrates this special bond between animals and hoomans. Let the awws begin.

Hooman: Jenn, I’m Chief of Staff for a biotech start-up and momager to Kimchi.

Doggo: Kimchi (1.5 years old). A few nicknames are Kimmy, Kimberly Chi, Miss Kim, Kimuchi.

Home: Brooklyn, USA

I am Korean and, as a result, my husband has become an avid Korean food enthusiast. We knew we wanted a food name and just loved the idea of Kimchia Korean staple.

Kimchi is extremely loving — always wants to snuggle and wiggles her entire body in excitement when she sees a familiar face. She can be a bit shy at first, but she warms up very quickly. She is very playful and sweet, but can also serve some sass. Especially when it comes to ponytails. Kimchi HATES ponytails so she always makes sure to take out my hair tie.

Kimchi has brought so much joy into our lives. She calms us when we are stressed and always brings a smile to our face.
